Even though we are born into a world of sin, we are not bad people. Being bad is a choice, just as being good is a choice. Sin may live in us (flesh), but when we choose to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are made whole and washed clean from all previous sin, present sin and future sin. Now, that doesn't mean that when we invite Christ into our lives that we will automatically stop sinning. No, if we're on this earth we will keep on sinning. It just means that we will sin less. With Christ, we are ruled by the Holy Spirit within us and not our flesh (our worldly desires). Fortunately, we have a merciful God who is slow to anger, quick to forgive and continually gracious.
If I had the chance to go back and change my past, I wouldn't do it. The choices that I've made in my life have helped to shape me into whom I am today. I have no regrets, because my past is forgiven. God has erased my sins and given me a clean slate. I was given a new beginning and now I must go through the process of being renewed in my mind and perfected in God's love daily.
Back then, it seemed as if the storms would never cease, the pain would never end, the tears would never stop falling or the love would never be returned. But I'm here to tell you that if you're struggling with anything there is a Savior who can help you through it. He wants to help you overcome it. When you submit yourself under God's construction, you will emerge a new creation and the old will pass away.
So, as you take this journey with me into the pages of my life, keep in mind that all things happen for a reason. Once you realize your authority, your power in Christ, you will be able to awaken the warrior within you and defeat the giants in your life. We are more than conquerors. Victory is ours. I love you and pray that you find the deliverance you need to start living your life to the fullest.
