The Building by bag System, is a modified Timber frame house structure, with sand bag placed in between to make walls. The idea was developed by Michael Trimeer, and have been since growing across South Africa. Sandbags are packed without any mortar in between which reduces extremely the amount of cements used in the building process. This method present a lot of advantages, but at the same time require more attention on the building process. This book explains what should be done to avoid mistakes. It also feature few projects to give more practical details about the system.
