When it becomes clear that the Supreme Court may finally be ready to accept jurisdiction over a case directly calling into question the constitutional eligibility of President Boalt, his administration initiates the F-86 Project, code-named Saberjet Onyx. The object is to proffer as genuine a counterfeit federal document to ensure the Supreme Court will affirm Boalt's eligibility. The counterfeit document, a long lost, purportedly newly-discovered final essay in the series of The Federalist Papers -- Federalist 86 -- is offered up as proof that the Founding Fathers intended that the issue of constitutional eligibility as a natural born citizen under the newly drafted Constitution was a matter to be reposed in the electorate alone, immune from judicial or congressional challenge. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearings into this historic event precipitate even more historic -- and ominous -- consequences for the Republic. Senator Beth Cantor from Tennessee -- highly suspicious of the discovery from the outset and of President Boalt's newly refined claims to the office based on it -- mutters to herself: show me. When U.S. Attorney General Charles Fitzpatrick agrees to testify at the Federalist 86 hearing, it becomes increasingly evident to Senator Cantor that something is rotten in the State of Denmark. And Fitzpatrick, woefully in over his head and shamefully ill-informed by his boss, gives new meaning to the term haste makes waste. Ultimately, the ruse is exposed, and the administration's house of cards collapses... but not without an additional impact on the Supreme Court as well as Senator Cantor. But the Republic stands. It has been observed that elections have consequences. Saberjet Onyx confirms as well that deceptions have consequences.
