A Story About Bringing the Memory of Someone You Love Into Your Child's Life
How do you help a child know someone they've never met? How do you share stories of someone you love without sadness overwhelming the moment?
When a child asks about someone who isn't here, their curiosity opens a new kind of conversation-one that invites remembering, storytelling, and connection. Saba-Tuck follows a young daughter as she learns about her grandfather who died before she was born, discovering how love and memory can be shared in gentle, everyday ways.
Through bedtime rituals, honest questions, and small acts of remembering, this story shows how someone important can become part of a child's life-not through heavy explanations or forced conversations, but through the natural way children make sense of love, family, and belonging.
What Makes This Book Unique
- Told entirely from a child's perspective, meeting young readers with wonder rather than worry
- Focuses on memory as connection, not loss
- Developmentally appropriate for ages 3-7, with simple language and honest moments
- Gives families warm, accessible language for talking about death and family history
- Gentle, hopeful, and rooted in everyday life
Written for children ages 3-7 and the adults who love them, Saba-Tuck offers families a way to bring someone important into a child's world-through love, story, and the small rituals that keep memory alive.
