About Marcus DelrayMarcus Delray is a financial literacy educator and recovery strategist who has worked directly with working-class households across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi for fifteen years. He has helped families navigate forced housing loss, medical debt, predatory lending, and the emotional aftermath of financial failure. His work centers on translating existing family financial systems into language that makes them visible, testable, and more resilient.
He grew up in Plaquemine, Louisiana-a refinery town where his father drove a delivery truck and his mother worked retail. He watched them build a careful system with limited resources and has spent his career teaching others to see and refine what they've already built.
His writing has appeared in financial literacy platforms and community workshops across the South. His core belief: you don't need someone to tell you how to manage money from a helicopter view.
