The Sweet Smell of Disaster

A murdered celebrity. A politician's dangerous secrets. And Jess-an ambitious baker-caught in the crosshairs.

Jess can't believe she's been invited to cater for the Governor's Ball, a chance for her delectable treats to shine among high society. But the evening takes a sinister twist when the celebrity she's admired from afar turns out to be anything but gracious-targeting Jess with cutting insults before dropping dead in front of everyone.

Chaos erupts, and just when Jess thinks the nightmare couldn't get worse, her friend is named the prime suspect after a tense exchange with the victim. Jess is sure of her friend's innocence, but every clue points in the wrong direction, and with an elusive killer on the loose, time is running out.

Will Jess sift through the lies to unmask the real culprit, or is the next funeral about to hit dangerously close to home?
