After a tornado hit the barn when their mom and dad were doing chores, four young boys were all alone in the house. The cellphone towers were down, the electricity was out. The boys ages were 8, 6, 3 and 1. The two oldest boys joined together to take care of the younger ones. Brecken, the oldest had watched his parents cook, so he was able to use a can opener and toaster, along with the cereal and microwave items in the cupboard and freezer. The hardest part of their day was how to occupy themselves. Barrett, the second oldest was in charge of feeding the few cows that survived and the chickens that were untouched in the coop.
