The Portals of the Past, is the 8th and final volume of the original Summer Ray book series. The contents even surprised the author with all of the new twists and turns pertaining to Boston, New York City, and of course, Summer's beloved Gettysburg. The fate of the story now rests in the hands of the General Michael Moses McDaniels and Summer Ray's ability to finally accept the abnormal. The question is, will she? It has been a whirlwind of emotional trauma for our leading lady and this book is certainly no different. The battle for Summer's faith started with This Fair and Blighted Land and the question, Will she lose her faith in the God she loves? This may be a fictional story, but it contains some very real aspects of Spiritual Warfare.

But also woven into this volume, is more of our American history. It has the General George Washington on the front cover and was released on July 04, 2026, on the 250th anniversary of our founding and independence. I could not have planned for this, when I first slid down Big Round Top at the Gettysburg Battlefield, on the ice and snow during the winter of 2009. This is when and where the story of Summer Ray first began. I did not know it would take over seventeen years to finish. But God did, and to Him be all the glory for helping me to stick with it!

Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world!
