Synopsis: Summer Musings' is a short story book about summer, and its activities that we observe and like to participate in. These include a beach family holiday, sports, walking, gardening, ending the school year, or just relaxing at home. Other stories cover shopping, the pain of regret, the journey of life, its purpose and successes, and the nostalgia of viewing a photo collection. Each is based on a UK perspective but provides insights that are universally experienced.
Autobiography: Andrew Rees is from Bromley, south-east London, but has spent time in Australia (sixteen years), The Netherlands (five) and Ghana (four). His career has been in Information Technology for forty-five years but has included volunteer teaching in Ghana. He has previously written 'Light Places' (2006), 'Running Over' (2009), 'Touchpoints', (2014), and 'Oburoni and Other Stories' (2018). 'Summer Musings' carries the theme of summer in its stories.
