Greater Than Sudoku follows the familiar rules of classic 9×9 Sudoku: place the numbers 1 through 9 so that each number appears exactly once in every row, column, and 3×3 box.

What makes this variation different? Greater-than and less-than signs are placed between some horizontally or vertically adjacent cells. Each sign points toward the cell containing the smaller number. For example, if two cells are separated by >, the number on the left must be greater than the number on the right. These signs provide additional clues that must be followed while completing the grid.
