WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD YOUR LIFE FIGURED OUT AND THEN YOU BECOME...Suddenly Single Kamiya Deir Harper recently graduated from Norfolk State University with her degree in Human Resources. She is set to begin her new career at Sentara Norfolk General, but feels the urge to get years of pent-up partying out of her system. This is the beginning of many late nights and early mornings of clubbing until she encounters a mystery man. She meets Christopher, a Navy Officer, who recently relocated to the Hampton Roads area. He is ready to settle down and is on a quest to find Mrs. Right. Kamiya and Christopher go on a voyage of lust and love. They get married with the expectations of living happily ever after. Unfortunately, an unexpected tragedy strikes, leaving Kamiya suddenly single. His death leaves her feeling lost, vulnerable, and confused. Devastated, Kamiya tries to navigate through the rough seas of life without her husband. Life as she knew it would never be the same. Going home to an empty house every day has proven to be traumatic, until one day she decides to take her life back, by rediscovering herself. In walks Marcus, a distinguished gentleman, promising to love the pain away. Will his promises be enough to mend her broken heart?
