Since I can remember, I've always had a plan about how my life would play out. I would live the American Dream by attending college, getting a degree, and finding a job. I would earn a pension and retire at 65. Little did I know the world had a different plan for me and what my American Dream would become, and it all started when my college Track & Field career ended way earlier than expected. Spoiler alert: I got the degree and the job, but it didn't feel anything like a dream.

I've had many experiences that helped shape me into the woman I am today. The plans we have for ourselves are rarely what we picture in our heads but often end up being just what we need to find happiness. In this book, I will share the ups and downs of those expected and unexpected experiences, and I hope you will be encouraged to redefine success and what it looks like for you. After all, your happiness is on the line.
