I loved this story, the plot was fast-paced but not too quick, the characters blend together really well especially Gray and Derrick. There's plenty of tension, suspense and action to keep you flying through the pages. I really enjoyed it and will be recommending it to my blogger friends. Amazon

When Gray Eagleson remembers the strap, it brings back horrific images of pain, suffering and humiliation in the public school system.

Emotionally and financially strapped, he decides a trip to Ecuador is exactly what he needs for a fresh start. Before departing, he connects with Adriana Enrique on an internet dating site, promising to meet her on his arrival. He also helps his best friend Derrick Richmond evict some biker tenants involved in a marijuana grow-operation in one of Derrick's rental properties. One of the bikers, Stuart Treblecoch, aka The Strap, threatens to kill Gray for tossing biker belongings into a blazing backyard inferno.

Arriving in Ecuador, Gray soon discovers the idyllic vacation has turned into a life-and-death struggle. Adriana's erratic behavior casts a black shadow of doubt over his optimistic expectations, and he is terrified to learn The Strap is hunting him down. As the tension and violence ratchet up, Gray believes the mind-altering and spiritually enlightening drug ayahuasca is his only hope for salvation.

A taut psychological thriller, The Strap ushers you full-throttle deep inside the exotic sights and sounds of Ecuador while also exposing the very real dangers that exist. Through Gray's harrowing journey for personal redemption and survival, we discover the frailties and insecurities of the human condition and the ever-present need for companionship at the heart of human nature.
