Two enormous figures cross a grandfather's path carrying an unrecognizable burden. A mother and daughter discover something unfolding beneath a campground shower partition. Winter campers find a gaunt creature wearing their missing emergency blanket. A hiking group repeatedly makes room for someone who is not there.
From Bigfoot and Grassman to pale crawlers, a possible skinwalker, and a gray figure caught in headlights, these encounters bring the mysterious uncomfortably close. Yet not every presence behaves like a predator, and apparent restraint offers little reassurance.
For one man leaving his longtime woodland home, a final encounter changes the meaning of noises he had heard for decades.
