A Story of Courage: Annals of the Georgetown Convent of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a historical account written by George Parsons Lathrop. The book chronicles the history of the Georgetown Convent, a Catholic religious community located in Washington D.C., from its founding in 1799 to the late 19th century. The book highlights the bravery and resilience of the nuns who faced numerous challenges and obstacles throughout their history, including anti-Catholic sentiment, financial hardship, and the Civil War.
