What happens when everyone gives just a little?
On a cold winter evening, a tired traveler named Philip arrives in the snowy village of Meadow Marina carrying little more than his walking stick, a small bag-and one very ordinary stone.
The villagers are cautious. Everyone says they have nothing to spare.
But Philip has an unusual idea.
He announces that he can make stone soup.
Soon, curious little Poppy brings a carrot. Another villager adds a few potatoes. Someone finds an onion. Then another ingredient appears, and another...
Before long, the whole village is gathered around a steaming pot, discovering that something wonderful can happen when everyone contributes just a little.
With gentle humor, memorable characters, cozy village scenes, and a heartwarming winter atmosphere, this beautifully retold classic brings a timeless folk tale to life for a new generation of young readers.
As Philip, Poppy, Mayor Mabel, Mrs. Willow, Mr. Bramble, and the villagers discover, you don't need to have a lot to make a difference. Sometimes, a little from everyone can become enough for all.
