Stereometry, Or The Art Of Gauging, by Thomas Everard, offers a practical guide to mastering the techniques of measurement using a sliding rule. This historical text simplifies the process of calculating areas of circles in gallons and determining the square and cube roots of numbers up to 100,000 through visual inspection.
Originally designed to make complex calculations accessible, Everard's work provides clear instructions and examples, enabling readers to quickly grasp the principles of stereometry and apply them effectively. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the historical methods of measurement and the practical applications of geometry in everyday tasks.
