Star Spangled Murder: A Mikki Bridgewater Mystery

Mikki Bridgewater is finally reclaiming her life after barely surviving a brush with death last year. Between therapy sessions, panic attacks, and late-night doubts, she's doing her best to move forward with running her beloved candle shop, Mountain Lights Candle & Gifts, and falling into step with her charming, ever-reliable boyfriend, Officer Paul Richards.

And for once, things seem peaceful in Pine Ridge, West Virginia. The town is buzzing with excitement for the Fourth of July Bicentennial Celebration, and Mikki is determined to put the past behind her, until the strange happenings begin.

A misplaced item here. A shadow lingering a little too long. Whispers in the dark that Mikki can't quite shake. Is she just jumpy from her trauma, or is something much more sinister at play?

Her worst fears are confirmed when, in the middle of float-building for the grand parade, a body is discovered. Suddenly, the town's festive atmosphere is pierced by suspicion, and Mikki is faced with a choice, let fear paralyze her, or step back into the world of amateur sleuthing alongside her fearless best friend, Meg.

One thing is certain-there's a killer in Pine Ridge, and they're not done yet.

Will Mikki uncover the truth before she becomes the next target? Or will this Fourth of July celebration end with more than just fireworks?
