The Star of Kilnaely

In the imagined American Midwestern town of Kilnaely, it is whispered there is magic in the very soil underneath the hardworking town folks' feet. No one embodies this magic more than the Star of Kilnaely, a larger-than-life folk hero who deeply loves his community and the natural world. With the help of his fiendishly clever disabled sister and a hound the size of a draught horse, he solves dilemmas with charisma and good-natured humor. But when Kilnaely becomes stuck in the crossfire of a battle between the gods themselves, will the charm of the Star be enough to save the town he loves so well?

Told in short stories inspired by both American and Irish folk music and tales, The Star of Kilnaely explores the beauty found in local ecology, community, and legends. You just might find you live closer to Kilnaely, and to magic, than you think.
