Months later, hungover and trying to outrun the guilt, he gets roped into going on a hike. That doesn't last long when he gets lost in the woods.

The deeper Tom wanders, the more the forest changes. The air buzzes. The ground shifts. The trees seem to breathe. And soon, he's no longer alone.
