Saint-Simon, 1675-1755 is a biography of Louis de Rouvroy, Duc de Saint-Simon, written by Gaston Boissier. The book explores the life and times of Saint-Simon, a French nobleman and memoirist who is best known for his extensive memoirs detailing the court of Louis XIV. Boissier delves into Saint-Simon's upbringing, his education, and his early years at court. He also examines Saint-Simon's relationships with other members of the court, including the king himself, and his involvement in political intrigue. In addition, the book provides insight into the cultural and social milieu of 18th-century France, and how it shaped Saint-Simon's worldview and writing.
