Pred nama je nova, deveta zbirka pesama CRNI LABUD pesnika Vladana D. Jovanovica. Zbirka sadrzi devedeset i sedam pesama. (Autor)

Black Swan is the ninth poetry collection by contemporary Serbian poet Vladan D. Jovanovic. Comprising ninety-seven poems, the volume reflects the mature phase of Jovanovic's poetic voice, marked by disciplined structure and lyrical intensity. With only a few exceptions, the poems are composed in tercets-a formal characteristic of his later work-giving the collection both cohesion and rhythmic clarity.
The book is deeply rooted in love poetry. These lyrical reflections, inspired by real or imagined women, explore love in its many dimensions: physical, Platonic, and even philosophical, echoing a Spinozist sense of devotion. Throughout the collection, recurring references to madness invite interpretation-not as clinical disorder, but as poetic and romantic fervor. Jovanovic draws on the classical distinction between clinical, poetic, and amorous madness, embracing the latter two as creative and emotional forces.
Rich in metaphor and symbolic imagery, the poems frequently invoke color-especially green, a symbol of youth and vitality. The collection resonates with the spirit of the French Symbolists, whose belief that poetry should reveal itself gradually rather than declare itself directly finds a contemporary echo here. Suggestive rather than explicit, Black Swan invites the reader into a world where meaning unfolds slowly, through image, rhythm, and emotional intensity.
A refined work of contemporary Serbian poetry, this collection speaks to readers drawn to lyrical expression, symbolic depth, and meditations on love and creative passion.
