Splendor Solis is a 16th-century alchemical treatise attributed to Salomon Trismosin. The book is a collection of 22 allegorical images, each accompanied by a poem and a commentary. The images depict various alchemical processes and stages of transformation, and are intended to guide the reader on a spiritual and philosophical journey towards the attainment of the philosopher's stone. The text is heavily influenced by Hermetic and Neoplatonic philosophy, and contains references to classical mythology and biblical scripture. Splendor Solis is considered one of the most important and influential alchemical works of the Renaissance period, and has been studied and interpreted by scholars and practitioners of alchemy for centuries.1582.
