This volume presents a collection of speeches delivered by Honoré-Gabriel de Riquetti, Comte de Mirabeau, before the National Assembly of France. A prominent figure during the early years of the French Revolution, Mirabeau was renowned for his eloquence and his advocacy for a constitutional monarchy.
The book includes a sketch of Mirabeau's life and character, providing context for his political thought and actions. His speeches offer valuable insight into the debates and decisions that shaped the course of the Revolution. Readers interested in the history of France, the art of oratory, and the development of modern political ideas will find this a compelling and informative resource.
