Existing beyond traditional narrative poetry, Spectrum Continuum, a non-linear long-form poem, explores musical, geometrical and color arrangements in a stream of consciousness style. The poem shifts its progressive thoughts, in expressive language, through passages that reference and celebrate nature as well as the larger cosmos. The magical beauty of the universe is observed and extolled in poetic fashion, as if rifling through the poet's mind, and receiving quick glimpses of scenes, and concepts, into which insights are offered for extended contemplation. The poem evokes an evolving consciousness that transforms through its multilayered movements. Spontaneous and Uranian, the flow of Spectrum Continuum is one where sudden epiphanies freely appear as insights for awakening. My intent with this poem was to create a work of art much like a painting or a song, only using words as my medium. It is a vibrational language-journey for the senses, a creative burst of life and light, a cosmic dance unfolding its myriad motions in dynamic, kaleidoscopic forms. I know all these words
are just a simple universe,
but come follow me
into your own eternity. We wanted to feel
everything as real. The geometries of our phases
angle space
as we walk and connect the stars. A red ecstasy
binds me in belonging
to the root of all races.
