Donald F. Fogelquist
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
The Jaime Sabines Library makes available the complete works of one of Mexico's most admired poets.
In this edition, revised and verified against the poet's original documents, two books are brought together in which Jaime Sabines's poetry reaches its full maturity: in Yuria (1967), readers will find poems of great emotional and existential intensity, where the poet's voice enters into dialogue with the body, death, loneliness, and even politics; Poemas sueltos (1951-1961) maintains an introspective approach, marked by a sensitivity rarely seen in Ibero-American literature.
The Jaime Sabines Library makes available the complete works of one of Mexico's most admired poets, an author who masterfully wrote about both his own concerns and those of an entire generation.
