La trilogÃa TravesÃa del Destino escrita por Tito Lugo MD narra la vida y aventuras de tres personajes principales: Pirulo, Travos y Simpronio. La historia abarca desde 1954 hasta 1979, y está profundamente arraigada en la cultura y experiencias de Puerto Rico. A lo largo de las tres partes, los personajes enfrentan desafÃos, crecen y descubren sus destinos en un viaje de autodescubrimiento y resiliencia.
Pirulo, nacido en 1954, es un niño con un don especial para la música, demostrado por su habilidad para silbar melodÃas complejas desde muy pequeño. Criado en un entorno humilde, su vida está marcada por la abnegación y el amor de sus padres. A medida que crece, Pirulo enfrenta las adversidades de su entorno, incluyendo la pobreza y la violencia. Sin embargo, su talento musical y su carácter resiliente lo ayudan a encontrar su camino. La primera parte de la trilogÃa explora su infancia y adolescencia, destacando la importancia de la familia, la comunidad y la superación personal.
La segunda parte de la trilogÃa se centra en Travos, un joven cuya vida está marcada por la búsqueda de identidad y propósito. Ambientada entre 1967 y 1972, esta sección aborda temas de revolución social y cambio polÃtico en Puerto Rico. Travos se ve involucrado en movimientos estudiantiles y experimenta el despertar de una conciencia polÃtica. A través de sus luchas y triunfos, Travos aprende sobre el valor del sacrificio y la lucha por la justicia. Esta parte de la trilogÃa profundiza en la evolución personal y colectiva en tiempos de turbulencia social.
Simpronio, el protagonista de la tercera parte, vive su historia entre 1972 y 1979. Su vida está influenciada por los eventos de las dos décadas anteriores y las decisiones tomadas por Pirulo y Travos. Simpronio representa la continuación y la culminación de la travesÃa iniciada por sus predecesores. Enfrenta desafÃos modernos y personales mientras intenta reconciliar su legado con su propio camino. La tercera parte destaca la importancia de la herencia cultural y familiar, y cómo estas influyen en la formación de la identidad individual.
