La Saga de una Siñá es un conmovedor e impactante romance espÃrita dictado por el espÃritu LuÃs Fernando, cariñosamente conocido como Pai Miguel de Angola, a través de la psicografÃa de la médium Maria Nazareth Dória. La obra nos sumerge en la cruda y dolorosa realidad de la esclavitud en el Brasil imperial, revelando que el verdadero cautiverio no es el del cuerpo fÃsico, sino el de las pasiones, el orgullo y la maldad que aprisionan el alma de los opresores. A través de la voz narrativa de Miguel, un esclavo compasivo, valiente y gran observador, el lector se convierte en testigo de los horrores y los milagros cotidianos que se viven dentro de las haciendas, donde la fe inquebrantable y la sabidurÃa de espÃritus elevados encarnados, como el anciano ZacarÃas y la curandera abuela Joana, sostienen la esperanza de sus hermanos de dolor.
La trama se desencadena con la llegada a la hacienda del nuevo y sádico amo, el joven siñóziño, quien regresa del extranjero trayendo consigo a su dulce y noble esposa, la Siñá Margareth. Detrás de una fachada de educación y refinamiento, el hombre oculta una profunda perversidad y graves desviaciones morales. En un acto de extrema crueldad y locura, rechaza a su esposa y obliga al esclavo Antônio, un hombre noble y fuerte, a tener intimidad con ella frente a sus propios ojos, buscando humillarlos y satisfacer su mente enferma. De este trágico episodio nace el pequeño Frederico, un niño mulato cuya vida corre un peligro inminente, pues el siniestro amo planea asesinarlo para torturar emocionalmente a sus verdaderos padres.
Ante la amenaza de muerte, la solidaridad y el coraje de los cautivos se imponen sobre la tiranÃa. La Siñá, dispuesta a sacrificarlo todo por amor a su hijo, se apoya en Miguel, la abuela Joana y los guÃas espirituales del bosque para organizar una peligrosa fuga. Miguel, arriesgando su propia vida, cruza el rÃo a nado con el bebé a cuestas para salvarlo, mientras Antônio y su compañera Anita logran huir. El bebé termina siendo criado en secreto dentro de la propia senzala por la esclava Maria do Céu, haciéndose pasar por el hijo de un capataz, mientras su verdadera madre lo cuida en la sombra. La justicia divina interviene cuando un complot orquestado por la propia familia del amo, para frenar su tiranÃa y evitar una masacre mayor, termina con su vida en un supuesto accidente, liberando a la Siñá de su terrible martirio.
Con el paso de los años, la Siñá rehace su vida casándose con el bondadoso hijo del administrador de la hacienda. El pequeño Frederico, alejado del estigma de la esclavitud, es enviado a estudiar al extranjero. Regresa convertido en un juez Ãntegro y libre, dispuesto a acabar con la injusticia, asumiendo el control de las tierras y otorgando la tan ansiada carta de libertad a Miguel en agradecimiento por haberle salvado la vida. Esta obra es un profundo tratado sobre la Ley de Causa y Efecto, que nos enseña que las diferencias de color son ilusiones temporales y que la caridad y el amor incondicional son las únicas fuerzas que verdaderamente nos liberan.
