El Porvenir, Volume 5, published in 1872, offers a glimpse into the philanthropic and medical landscape of 19th-century Mexico. Authored by Sociedad De Filoiática De Mexico and Beneficencia De Los Alumnos De La Escuela De Medicina, this volume sheds light on the charitable activities and educational initiatives of the time. It provides valuable insights into the efforts of medical students and philanthropic societies in contributing to the welfare of the Mexican population. El Porvenir serves as a historical record of the intersection of medicine, charity, and education during a transformative period in Mexican history.
