- Su vida como primer obispo de AlejandrÃa y fundador de la iglesia en Egipto, evangelizando al mundo pagano con la Buena Nueva. Se pide su protección y guÃa para la iglesia moderna.
- Su martirio glorioso al dar testimonio final de su fe, arrastrado por las calles de AlejandrÃa. Se celebra su fortaleza para permanecer fiel hasta el fin.
- Su papel como patrono de Venecia y protector de tantas naciones. Se invoca su amparo y bendición para el mundo.
A través de la poesÃa, se busca honrar la memoria de San Marcos para imitar sus virtudes, recibir su intercesión e iluminar nuestras almas con el conocimiento de Cristo que Él ayudó a difundir.
