A partir de un conjunto de más de cincuenta cartas dirigidas por el pintor Pedro Luna a sus amigos y coleccionistas Néstor Montesinos y Luis Molina, escritas entre los años 1935 y 1956, el investigador Wenceslao DÃaz ha intentado documentar, de primera mano, la azarosa existencia de uno de los artistas más emblemáticos de la llamada Generación del 13. Otro hallazgo relevante de esta investigación son los dibujos y proyectos conservados en los archivos de Roberto Zegers, Néstor Montesinos y Luis Alfaro, parte de los cuales son reproducidos en el libro, y que permiten profundizar en sus procesos de creación.De esta manera, esta publicación aporta valiosas fuentes primarias para el estudio de la vida y obra de Pedro Luna, como también del campo cultural chileno de la primera mitad del siglo XX.
