Pastoral Del Obispo De Astorga Al Clero Y Pueblo De Su Diócesis... is a historical pastoral letter from the Bishop of Astorga, Félix Torres Amat, addressed to the clergy and people of his diocese. Written in Spanish, this document offers a valuable glimpse into the religious and social landscape of 19th-century Spain. The letter provides insights into the bishop's guidance and teachings, reflecting the concerns and priorities of the Catholic Church during his tenure (1834-1847). It serves as a primary source for understanding the relationship between religious leaders and their communities, and sheds light on the spiritual and moral climate of the time. This work is essential for historians of religion, Spanish history, and anyone interested in the role of the Church in shaping society.
