'Norte Critico Con Las Reglas Mas Ciertas Para La Discrecion En La Historia, Y Un Tratado Preliminar Para Instruccion De Historicos Principiantes', Volume 1, by Jacinto Segura, offers a critical examination of the rules for discretion in historical writing. Published in 1736, this work provides insights into the methods and considerations important to historians. It also includes a preliminary treatise designed to instruct novice historians, making it valuable for both scholars and those new to the field of historical research and writing. Segura's volume gives a window into the intellectual landscape of the 18th century and the development of historical thought in Spain.
