Este volumen aborda un escenario distinto.
En climas cálidos y secos, el problema no es conservar calor.
La radiación solar intensa, la baja humedad ambiental y la escasez hÃdrica modifican el orden de prioridades.
Aquà el sistema dominante no es la calefacción.
Es el control térmico pasivo y la gestión del agua.
La evaporación constante, las amplitudes térmicas entre dÃa y noche y la exposición solar prolongada exigen decisiones estructurales diferentes a las del clima frÃo.
El objetivo no es climatizar artificialmente el entorno.
Es diseñar para que el entorno no imponga una carga térmica constante.
Este volumen no repite fundamentos.
Aplica el modelo estructural a una condición climática especÃfica:
Reducir ganancia térmica.
Proteger recursos hÃdricos.
Optimizar masa y sombra.
Separar consumo eléctrico de control térmico siempre que sea posible.
La independencia en clima cálido seco no depende de producir más energÃa.
Depende de reducir la necesidad de refrigeración.
Si el diseño limita la radiación y conserva el agua, el sistema se estabiliza.
Si depende de climatización constante, es frágil.
El calor no se combate con potencia.
Se gestiona con estructura.
