Henry Ballate (Cuba, 1966) vive y trabaja en la ciudad de Nueva York. Es artista visual, curador y escritor, con formación en Cuba, Italia y Estados Unidos, donde obtuvo su MFA en Artes Visuales. Su obra ha sido exhibida ampliamente en América, Europa y Asia, y explora temas como la identidad, la memoria, la emigración y el exilio. Además de su práctica artÃstica, es autor y editor de diversas publicaciones sobre arte y literatura. Actualmente trabaja en la New York Public Library.
