Entre ambos extremos: el amor arrebatador con Simón BolÃvar, las batallas por la independencia sudamericana, las intrigas palaciegas, y la noche del 25 de septiembre de 1828, cuando Manuelita enfrentó sola a los asesinos que venÃan por el Libertador y le ganó a la muerte los minutos que él necesitaba para escapar.
