Isabel (@unamadremolona en Instagram) y Dani (@educa.en.positivo en Instagram) nos brindan este cuento ilustrado que nos ayudará a convertir esta pregunta en una oportunidad para sembrar en nuestros hijos el amor y el respeto hacia sus cuerpos. Una tarde después del colegio, Mariola llegó a casa un poco triste. Su madre quiso saber qué le pasaba y, después de dudar un poco, Mariola le preguntó «Mamá, crees que estoy gorda? En un mundo que presiona a niños, adolescentes y adultos con cánones irreales o difÃciles de alcanzar, es más importante que nunca sembrar semillas de libertad, de amor propio y de respeto hacia el cuerpo y la vida. La madre de Mariola no responde con un «sà o un «no rotundo, sino que entabla una conversación con preguntas que pretenden abrir una mirada diferente y demostrar total confianza en que su hija encontrará las respuestas adecuadas. Educar no es dar todas las respuestas, sino descubrir caminos de reflexión. Esto es clave en la educación positiva: cuando los niños llegan a sus propias conclusiones, el aprendizaje se vuelve más auténtico y profundo y se siembran las bases de una autoestima sana, un autoconcepto positivo y un sentimiento de comunidad, asà como el respeto hacia el propio cuerpo y el de los demás.
