Jesus Garcia, who covered the trial incessantly, expertly maps out how this case was built and El Chapo's time before the court played out. It's a bittersweet tale. It would perhaps be worse if such a high-profile drug lord had escaped justice. But considering the horror of the violence in Mexico over the last two decades it doesn't seem enough. In part because of the trial, senior politicians and generals have also been arrested on trafficking charges, as Jesus details, so perhaps we are getting closer to real justice.

Aunque quizás serÃa peor si un narcotraficante de tan alto perfil hubiera escapado de la justicia. Sin embargo, considerando el horror de la violencia en México en las últimas dos décadas, este juicio no parece suficiente. En parte por el proceso en sà mismo, aunado a que polÃticos de alto rango y generales también han sido arrestados por cargos de narcotráfico, como detalla Jesús, aunque quizás estemos acercándonos al verdadero concepto de la justicia.
