Cuánto valoras realmente a tu pastora?
En muchas iglesias hablamos de amor, unidad, servicio y respeto, pero pocas veces nos detenemos a pensar en una pregunta fundamental: sabemos amar y valorar a la mujer que Dios ha puesto para pastorearnos?
Ama a tu Pastora es una invitación a mirar la relación entre la pastora y la congregación desde una perspectiva diferente. No se trata de colocar a la pastora por encima de la iglesia, ni de justificar sus errores, sino de recuperar algo que con frecuencia se ha perdido: el respeto, la gratitud, la comprensión, la oración y el amor hacia quienes dedican su vida al servicio del pueblo de Dios.
Detrás de una pastora hay mucho más que una persona que predica o enseña. Hay una mujer que también se cansa, que enfrenta responsabilidades, que toma decisiones difÃciles, que lleva cargas que muchas veces la congregación desconoce y que, en ocasiones, necesita simplemente que alguien se acerque y le diga: Estoy orando por ti.
Muchas veces se espera que la pastora sea fuerte para todos, que tenga una palabra de ánimo para cada persona, que esté disponible cuando alguien necesita consejo, que acompañe a quienes atraviesan dificultades y que permanezca firme aun cuando ella misma esté pasando por momentos difÃciles.
Pero, quién anima a la pastora cuando ella necesita ánimo? Quién ora por ella cuando está atravesando una batalla? Quién reconoce sus esfuerzos cuando nadie los ve? Quién comprende que detrás de cada predicación, cada consejo, cada visita y cada servicio también existe un enorme esfuerzo personal?
Este libro aborda estas preguntas desde una perspectiva cristiana y reflexiva, buscando despertar en el lector una actitud diferente hacia el ministerio pastoral femenino.
Amar a tu pastora no significa estar de acuerdo con todo lo que hace. Significa aprender a tratarla con respeto, hablar con verdad cuando sea necesario, orar por ella, reconocer su esfuerzo y comprender que el liderazgo espiritual también necesita apoyo. El amor cristiano no elimina la responsabilidad ni la posibilidad de corregir; pero sà cambia la manera en que nos acercamos, hablamos y actuamos.
Una pastora no solamente ministra desde un púlpito. Muchas veces sirve en silencio, escucha problemas, aconseja, acompaña familias, enseña, participa en actividades de la iglesia, visita a quienes necesitan ayuda y permanece disponible para personas que atraviesan momentos de dolor.
Por eso, valorar a una pastora implica mirar más allá de lo que ocurre durante el culto. También significa comprender que el ministerio no debe convertirse en una carga llevada por una sola persona. Una congregación saludable aprende a colaborar, servir, compartir responsabilidades y cuidar a quienes dedican su vida al cuidado espiritual de otros.
Al mismo tiempo, este mensaje también representa un desafÃo para quienes ejercen el ministerio pastoral. La pastora que pide amor debe estar dispuesta a amar. La que pide respeto debe respetar. La que pide comprensión debe comprender. La que enseña servicio debe estar dispuesta a servir. Porque el liderazgo cristiano no se sostiene únicamente por un tÃtulo, una posición o un púlpito, sino por una vida que refleja a Cristo.
Ama a tu Pastora no es solamente un libro para miembros de una iglesia. Es también para lÃderes, familias pastorales, servidores y para todos aquellos que desean comprender mejor cómo puede construirse una relación saludable entre quienes pastorean y quienes son pastoreados.
