A poem of the being that should have been there but was not; the being whose absence has made our lives incomplete ˗˗even though it has taken us half our lives to discover it, to recognize that emptiness. A poem about the discovery that something ˗˗someone˗˗ is missing and has been missing forever. That there are absences and gaps; that life is incomplete and we must rebuild, recover what we lack and those we have been missing; rebuild despite the years and the dead, the darkness and the silence.
