Torres-Cabassa gathered under the title A primera vista, teatro íntimo (At first sight, intimate theatre) the author includes two works that deal with serious, adult themes with strong content. In Quemando puentes (Burning bridges), a famous writer, now down-and-out, faces a life in which he cut all ties for the sake of success, thus wasting precious time of which he has little left. The protagonist of Las guerras de Saturno (Saturno's wars) is a disillusioned man who takes refuge in an impossible obsession, alienating everyone around him, which leads to the loss of the most precious thing in his life and to loneliness.
