Four feasts have already been kept. Three remain.
Fifteen centuries before a single Gospel was written, God gave Israel seven appointed times - moedim - carved into Leviticus 23 before there was a Temple, a king, or a nation to keep them. The first four were fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth on their exact calendar dates: Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost. Not approximately. To the day.
The Sound of the Shofar picks up where that argument leaves off - with the three feasts still on God's calendar: Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles.
This book traces:
- How Daniel's prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, anchored to the decree of Ezra in 457 BC, counts forward to the exact year of Christ's baptism - with no invented calendar conversions required
- How the Magi's own calculation - inherited from Daniel himself, six centuries earlier - led them to Bethlehem
- Why Christ's birth on the Feast of Tabernacles and His ministry's beginning at Trumpets follow the same fifteen-day pattern that structures the fall feasts themselves
- A carefully bounded proposed framework for how Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles may find their fulfillment in the return of the King, the national repentance of Israel, and the dwelling of God with His people at last
This is Book Three in The Feasts of the LORD series, following The Forgotten Sabbath and The Lamb in Eden. It stands complete on its own, but readers who have followed the series will recognize the same argument carried forward: the God who has never missed one appointment is not going to start now.
A word of caution the book itself insists on: Jesus said plainly that no one knows the day or hour of His return (Matthew 24:36; Acts 1:7). Every date discussed in these pages - 2027, 2031, 2034 - is offered as a framework for watchfulness, not a prediction. This is a book about knowing God's calendar well enough to recognize the fulfillment when it comes, not a book about marking a date on your wall.
