I love this series of poems with a passion that comes from my own sense of identification with them. They speak to me-or sing!-in my present moment with a lyrical authority that goes into my heart and soul like a song. They have a Biblical, musical swing to them-they feel and sound like bluesy Psalms written by you, Frederick, to a lover of considerable power. That Belovèd seems to have been around (and loved) for quite some time. You ask that Belovèd to return again to the Garden of Delights, a wonderful and inspiring request. That desire for revivifying a long-lasting love while there's still time, before a definite ending, speaks so powerfully to me.
