Songs of Kabir is a collection of poems and hymns written by the renowned Indian mystic and poet, Kabir. Originally written in the 15th century, these poems have been translated into English and compiled in this book by Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel Prize-winning poet and philosopher. The poems in Songs of Kabir explore a range of spiritual themes, including the nature of God, the path to enlightenment, and the importance of love and devotion. Kabir's poetry is known for its simplicity and directness, as well as its ability to transcend religious and cultural boundaries. The book is divided into 100 short poems, each of which is accompanied by a brief commentary from Tagore. These commentaries provide context and insight into Kabir's teachings, as well as his life and times.
