This is the story of John Bracker who grew up on City Island, New York. The stepson of the famous yacht builder Sidney Davies, and descendant of the illustrious Bracker brothers; German immigrants who came to the United States at the turn of the 20th century and were made a name for themselves in the midst of mobsters, crooked police, and all the other entanglements of Prohibition era Bronx. John Bracker's life is the story of the American dream; hardship in the face of adversity, overcoming the personal demons of alcoholism and the death of his mother at a young age. John rose to greatness in the 1980's and 1990's to fulfill all his childhood dreams and more.
