Somerville and Ross is the pen name of the Irish writing duo Edith Somerville and Violet Martin. Some Experiences of an Irish R.M. is a collection of humorous and satirical stories based on the experiences of a Resident Magistrate (R.M.) in rural Ireland during the late 19th century.
