This book analyzes the role of social networks in the production of urban space in Siguiri, based on citizens' perceptions of their living environment. Combining field surveys, quantitative data and qualitative approaches, it shows how digital uses influence the way residents describe, evaluate and transform their environment. Platforms become spaces of expression, mobilization and visibility for urban problems, but also places of solidarity and construction of collective images of neighborhoods. The study highlights inequalities in access and use according to age, gender and place of residence, while underlining the potential of social networks to strengthen citizen participation and challenge local authorities. The book sheds light on the links between digital technology, socio-spatial dynamics and urban governance in a rapidly changing African city.
