This book does not replace certified fire, gas, carbon-monoxide, flood, or security equipment. Spoken Home Assistant messages are extra notices, not life-safety systems. The book also explains how to avoid reading sensitive information aloud in shared rooms and how to keep announcements useful instead of disruptive.
