Sisters of the Forest includes a sweet intimacy between two sisters as well as honest frustrations faced by the siblings. This story will take the reader on a journey of two sisters that have forgotten who and where they are. It is as if the girls awoke one morning deep in a forest with a new life and could not remember their past. Within their hearts, they were lost and could not find their way to a home they believe they once knew. They believed they once had a mother that loved them and cared about them. They just had no idea who that mother was. A reading of this story by parents to children could result in a productive discussion about wishes, hopes and dreams, as well as anxiety surrounding separation issues. Sisters of the Forest accomplishes these ends effortlessly. The end of the story will catch you off guard and will open the wonderful imaginations of a child.
