My book is my way of honoring my first greyhound, Sedona, for nine and a half years of love and devotion. She came to me suddenly in 2003 and left me just as suddenly in June, 2012. In my book, I tell of the many ways she greeted people she knew and how she kept me from giving up during my battle with neck and throat cancer in 2005. I also tell of her love for other animals and for residents of the apartment complexes where we lived. She loved children as well and would allow them to cling to her and would reward each of them with a wet greyhound kiss. Sedona passed away suddenly due to kidney failure, but came to me in a dream to let me know she was happy and healthy even though she missed me. The stories in this book are true and took nearly a year of thought and tears to finally put down on paper to share with everyone who loves not just dogs, but especially greyhounds.
